A New year, a new you, right?

Well, at Cyclebeat Club, we're taking that saying to heart and adding an exciting new addition to our Spin classes. 2024 is here and we are thrilled to announce - Suspension Training, or what we are branding as “RX” for ‘resistance exercise’. We understand the importance of a well-rounded workout and we're committed to providing our members with a fun, challenging and effective way to get fit. With RX you'll be able to work your upper body, core and even legs all in one session. This blog post will delve into the benefits of suspension training and how it complements our Spin classes to provide a full-body workout.

Benefits of RX:

It's no secret that our Spin classes are great for building lower body strength and improving cardiovascular health. However, we realized that we were missing a no less important component - the upper body. That's where our RX classes come in. Using a system of anchored straps that hang from our specially constructed ceiling support beams, you'll be able to use your body weight against gravity to provide resistance and work on your core and upper body. This training, specifically after spinning, is designed to be easily adjustable for different skill levels so everyone can join in and reap the benefits.

One of the most significant benefits of RX is that it improves core strength and stability, balance and coordination. Your core muscles are essential for balance and good posture, and a strong core can help reduce the risk of injury. Working out on an unstable platform, as provided by RX, requires a lot of core engagement, which in turn helps to tone and strengthen your midsection. Additionally, RX can help improve muscular endurance through functional upper body movements, as it allows for a higher rep range and without using heavy weights that may not require engaging your core.

Conclusion:

Finally, we're excited to announce that with the addition of RX, our studio now offers a full-body workout. You don't need to go to the gym anymore; everything you need is right here. Our FUNctional Spin classes will continue to deliver cardio and lower body strength, while our RX classes will offer upper body strength and core stability. You can DITCH your gym membership and enjoy the convenience and affordability of our studio. All of our memberships, punch passes, 2 week unlimited intros and drop-ins are good for any of our classes. Come check out our new SpinRX or RX classes and experience the benefits for yourself. We can’t wait to see you!
